Frequently Asked
Questions

Do you accept insurance?

I am an out of network provider. This means that I can give you you paperwork at the end of each month to submit to your insurance provider should you chose to do so. Many insurance providers will work with an out of network therapist and provide you with a reimbursement. You can find out more by calling your provider and asking them what your “out of network reimbursement rate” is for mental health therapy. It is also helpful to ask them if you have a deductible and if so, what is the amount.

Do you provide online therapy?

Due to recent COVID-19 pandemic, I am providing teletherapy to Pennsylvania residents only via a HIPPA compliant site. Please contact me directly for more information.

How often do I need to come to therapy?

This depends on why you are seeking treatment and severity of symptoms. While I do not believe it is crucial to attend therapy weekly, I do find it helpful to begin with weekly appointments so that we can establish treatment goals as well as a trusting therapeutic relationship. If you are seeking EMDR therapy specifically, I strongly recommend that we meet weekly until processing is completed. In general, as treatment progresses and you are feeling able to manage appropriately, we can discuss going to bi-weekly appointments. I will provide a few monthly sessions towards the end of treatment as maintenance.

What is your accessibility?

There is metered parking on both sides of the street. There is also a parking lot across the street located at 4000 Main Street that is $2.00 for an hour or $4.00 for two hours. My office is walking distance from the SEPTA Wissahickon train and bus stations. The building where my office is located is ADA accessible and compliant.

What treatment modalities do you use?
I use a combination of treatment modalities depending on what is right for each client. You can read more about my treatment modalities here.
